LEAD 583 - Dynamic Leadership in Stressful Environments, a Historical Perspective (3 Credits)
The foundation for leadership under stress is operating from a set of principles. In this course the students will study the nine principles of leadership that the author Jack Uldrich has identified in the life of George C. Marshall. Specifically, the student will be looking at the value of these principles in stressful settings and as a basis for decision-making. The student will also reflect on where these principles have been illustrated in their previous leadership training. The learning outcome will be to establish an application of these principles in the student’s role as a leader and to recognize principled behavior in others.
